AGBOLÉ OYÈ is an independent, research-led design studio creating sculptural furniture, lighting, and collectible objects.
It takes its name from agbo ilé, the Yoruba family compound: a collection of dwellings often arranged around a shared courtyard. For the studio, this shared spatial and social life offers a way to think about the relationships between people, objects, memory, and place.
Through research, material experimentation, and contemporary fabrication, African design histories are approached as living knowledge. Their architectural, material, and social intelligence informs objects for the ways we live and gather.
